Business and Corporate Affairs promotes and markets meteorological products and services to the weather-sensitive sectors of the economy and provides advice and guidance on the strategic applications of weather and climate information for decision-making.

It is involved in formulating business plans, contract negotiation and exploring new business opportunities and also assesses and reviews the quality of services provided by the Division to key customers in the aviation industry and military services.

It provides corporate support in finance, human resource and general administration for the Division and promotes and coordinates activities to advance cooperation and relations with other National Meteorological Services and international agencies such as the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) (a specialized agency of the United Nations) and the ASEAN Sub-Committee on Meteorology and Geophysics.

Part of its key responsibility is also to carry out safety oversight of aeronautical meteorology to ensure the provision of services to aviation users are in keeping with international standards.
